For Many, Adams Pond is the picture that comes to mind when they think of home in East Derry. Others see Adams pond as a link to Derry’s cultural past. But most see development and a bleak future for the little pond; with the catalyst being the Dam, keeping it a pond, deemed deficient by the State of NH.
A small group of citizens rallied to save the Dam, and the owner offered to give it to the town. The Town Council gave the plan serious consideration but was not able to bring in a majority vote to save the Dam.
