Fall Cleaning Time

It is time to prepare for winter. We rake leaves and put the lawn chairs away, pull out sweaters and put away summer clothes for next summer. But it is also time, in the waning days of warmth, to put on work gloves and grab a blue bag and take a walk around your neighborhood with neighbors and friends picking up litter left by careless passers-by.

Go Green Derry is sponsoring a week long fall clean-up and invites everyone to participate and help to bring out Derry’s inner beauty.

Introducing Blue Bag Man

Our mascot this fall is Blue Bag Man as blue bags used for roadside trash collection can be left by the side of the road and will be picked up by Derry Public Works. A phone call to public works to let them know where you have collected is appreciated.

Derry Transfer Station is providing blue trash bags and the phone number to call for full bags left at locations is Public Works at 432-6144

Let us know if you see Blue Bag Man around town and let us know where you have made a difference.
