The 2011 Conservation Summer Walk Series kicks off on Saturday, April 16
What better way to celebrate the end of tax season than by getting outside for some fresh air and sunshine.
The Derry Conservation Commission and the Go Green Derry Committee will host six guided nature walks this summer. The walks are led by members of the Derry Conservation Commission and are open to the public (all ages are welcome).
Last years walk series was a huge success with 4 walks scheduled over the summer and this years series has been expanded to six walks. Members of the Conservation Commission guiding these walks are knowledgeable in identifying birds and plants and animal tracks. They will also share the history of each property and how it became a conservation area.
Walks are scheduled once a month on a Saturday at 8:00 am. The full schedule is available by clicking on the link above or you can download the schedule here.
